Carrot Chilli Pickle is easy and tangy and is a good accompaniment with almost every Indian dish

Required ingredients

  • 250 g carrot
  • 10-15 green chillies
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 3-4 lemons
  • 1 tbsp. mustard seeds, powdered
  • 1 tbsp. mustard oil
  • Salt to taste

Directions & How to

  • Peel and cut the carrots in thick planks. Slit the green chillies.
  • Place it in a large glass bowl; add lemon juice, turmeric and mustard powder, mustard oil and salt. Mix it very well.
  • Cover and keep it in direct sunlight for 2-3 days. Use within few days of preparation.
