About this recipe
Healthy, easy and tasty side dish made with bottle gourd will become everyones favourite.
Required ingredients
- 250 g bottle gourd( lauki) cut in big chunks
- 2 medium sized onion thickly sliced
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 2 whole dry red chillies roughly broken
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ¼ tsp nigella seeds
- ¼ tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Chopped coriander leaves to garnish
Directions & How to
- Put all the ingredients in a pressure cooker except lemon juice, mix very well. On low flame let it cook for 2 whistles
- After the pressure cools itself, cook on high heat to reduce excess water and it leaves oil.
- Add lemon juice and serve garnished with coriander leaves.
- In absence of pressure cooker cook it in a covered sauce pan on low heat for longer time.
