Tawa Fish is easy to cook  and everyone will love its  tangy and spicy taste.

Required ingredients

  • 1 kg fish in small pieces
  • 2 tbsp. gram flour (or as required for coating)
  • Oil to shallow fry
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste

Directions & How to

  • Mix all ingredients for the marinade and marinate the fish for about an hour.
  • Before frying, add enough gram flour to absorb excess juice and mix well to coat.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan, place few fish pieces on the pan without overcrowding it.
  • On medium heat cook the fish on one side till crisp. Flip the pieces once to fry  the other side.
  • Serve with green chutney, lemon wedges and chat masala.
