Barbequed green masala chicken is a beautiful and tasty dish. Freshness of coriander leaves with blend of spices makes it a special dish.

Required ingredients

  • 1 kg boneless chicken, in small pieces

For the marinade

  • 1 bunch of fresh coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup of hung curd
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 8 -10 fresh green chillies
  • 2 pinch green food colour
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Butter or ghee for basting
 

Directions & How to

  • Wash and pat dry chicken pieces on a clean cloth, keep aside.
  • Add all the ingredients for the marinade in a grinder and make a fine paste without adding any water.
  • Marinate the chicken in the marinade for at least 6 to 8 hrs or preferably overnight.
  • Thread the chicken onto the skewers. Use the leftover marinade to baste the chicken while cooking.
  • Cook the chicken ovee charcoal grill or in an oven at 200*C till done. Keep basting with butter and leftover marinade in between.
  • Serve with chaat masala and lemon wedges.
