Kele ke Kebab is an interesting change from regular non- veg kebabs. It is easy to make and nutritious.

Required ingredients

  • 500 g raw banana
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 whole dry red chillies
  • ½ tsp garam masala powder
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • ¼ cup gram flour, lightly roasted
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to shallow fry kebabs

Directions & How to

  • Peel the banana and cut in half. Cover and cook in 2 cups water till completely cooked. Strain the bananas and transfer to a large glass bowl. Mash with a fork leaving no big chunks.
  • Dry roast the coriander and cumin seeds and red chillies. Grind them to a fine powder.
  • Add all the listed ingredients except oil to the mashed bananas and mix very well. Leave it for 10 minutes.
  • Divide into 15-18 equal portions; give them shape of your choice.
  • Heat the oil in a non stick pan till crisp and golden brown. Serve as a side dish with any vegetarian meal.

Note

  • While adding salt remember that black salt also has been added.
  • Gram flour has been added for flavor and binding, you might need to increase or decrease the quantity accordingly.
