About this recipe
Kele ke Kebab is an interesting change from regular non- veg kebabs. It is easy to make and nutritious.
Required ingredients
- 500 g raw banana
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 2 whole dry red chillies
- ½ tsp garam masala powder
- ½ tsp black salt
- ¼ cup gram flour, lightly roasted
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Oil to shallow fry kebabs
Directions & How to
- Peel the banana and cut in half. Cover and cook in 2 cups water till completely cooked. Strain the bananas and transfer to a large glass bowl. Mash with a fork leaving no big chunks.
- Dry roast the coriander and cumin seeds and red chillies. Grind them to a fine powder.
- Add all the listed ingredients except oil to the mashed bananas and mix very well. Leave it for 10 minutes.
- Divide into 15-18 equal portions; give them shape of your choice.
- Heat the oil in a non stick pan till crisp and golden brown. Serve as a side dish with any vegetarian meal.
- While adding salt remember that black salt also has been added.
- Gram flour has been added for flavor and binding, you might need to increase or decrease the quantity accordingly.
