Palak and Gajar Ki Pooris are nutritious and kids will love it for its green and red colour.

Required ingredients

  • Oil to deep fry pooris

For Palak Dough

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 200 g spinach leaves, blanched and pureed
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • ½ cup water if needed

For Carrot Dough

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 150 g carrots, boiled and pureed
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • ½ cup water if needed

Directions & How to

  • For the palak dough, mix together all the ingredients in a large glass bowl and knead into a stiff dough. Use water only if required to bring the dough together. Keep aside for ½ an hour.
  • Likewise, make carrot dough. Add water only if required to bring the dough together. Keep aside for ½ an hour.
  • Now pinch a small portion (half the size of a lemon) from each of the dough to make 1 lemon-sized ball. Do likewise with rest of the dough.
  • Heat oil in a wok; roll out puris and deep fry them till crisp.
  • Serve with your choice of vegetable.
