Strawberry Jam is an easy and beautiful jam. It tastes great with breads and buns and you will love its natural sparkling  red colour.

Required ingredients

  • 500 g fresh strawberries, washed
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 cups sugar

Directions & How to

  • Roughly chop the strawberries and transfer to a big pot (non-aluminum) with all its juices. If you like smooth jam without any fruit chunks then process it in a food processer.
  • Add sugar and juice of lemon to the strawberries and place on the stove on high heat.
  • Let it heat for 4-5 minutes and then stir to dissolve the sugar.
  • Let it come to a rolling boil. Lower the heat to medium and let it cook until the foam dies down and strawberries mix starts to thicken. Keep stirring and mashing the fruit in between.
  • When you see no foams forming and the jam is clear it is done. Take the cold plate test and if the jam is still runny cook for few more minutes.
  • Store in sterilized for up to 1-2 months in the refrigerator.
