About this recipe
Masala parwal is quick and easy veg side dish, suitable for any meal of the day.
Required ingredients
- 500 g parwal (pointed gourd) scraped and cut horizontally in 4 pieces.
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2tsp nigella seeds
- 1 tsp dry mango powder
- 1tsp cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Directions & How to
- Mix all the masala powders with a little water to form a paste. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a wok, add parwal and salt, cook for few minutes.
- Add the paste to the parwal mix well and lower the flame.
- Add nigella seeds, cover and cook till parwals are soft and tender.
- Serve with chapati.
