Palak paneer is one of the most popular north Indian dish with loads of taste, vitamins and calcium.
Required ingredients
- 100 g paneer ( cottage cheese)
- 250 g spinach leaves
- 1 medium sized onion paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 2-3 green chillies chopped or paste
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Mustard oil (you can use any other oil)
Directions & How to
- Remove stalks and blanch the spinach leaves.
- Grind the spinach to a paste.
- Heat oil in a kadhai; add onion paste, fry till it turns light brown.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and cook till it leaves oil. You may need to add few drops of water to avoid masala from burning.
- Add the spinach paste and let it cook on medium heat till oil floats on top.
- Add green chillies and paneer mix very well with light hands. Sprinkle garam masala and serve.
