Garlic Mushrooms are great appetizer and they will be loved at any occasion.

Required ingredients

  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion cubed
  • ½ cup cubed green , red and yellow peppers
  • Salt to taste

For garlic paste

  • 4-6 garlic cloves
  • 3-4 whole red chillies deseeded

For the sauce

  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • Salt and pepper as required
   

Directions & How to

  • Boil the mushrooms with a little salt till soft. Strain and keep aside.
  • Grind garlic and red chillies by adding a little water to a smooth paste. Keep aside.
  • Mix together all the ingredients for the sauce and mix well.
  • Add mushrooms to the prepared sauce mix to coat well. Let it marinate for 1-2 hours.
  • Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok.  Sprinkle some salt and stir fry the vegetables on high heat. Strain and keep aside.
  • Add the garlic paste to the left over oil in the wok and sauté for few seconds.
  • Add mushrooms and cook till the sauce is reduced and mushrooms look glazed.
  • At last mix in fried vegetables and serve hot.
