About this recipe
Falafel is a world wide popular middle eastern dish. Herb falafel is a variation of falafel where it is prepared using fresh green herbs. Serve this yummy falafel in pita pockets or just eat them as it is. It just taste awesome.
Required ingredients
- 250 grams chick peas
- 100 grams dill leaves
- 100 grams coriander leaves
- 50 grams mint leaves
- 1 onion - roughly chopped
- 2-3 green chillies
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tbsp flour
- Salt as per taste
- Oil for frying
Directions & How to
- Wash and soak the chickpeas for 10-12 hours.
- Put all the ingredients except oil in a food processor and grind to a coarse paste.
- Make small balls and slightly flatten it.
- Deep fry in hot oil on medium high heat till done and crispy.
- Serve hot. You can serve falafel by itself, or with hot pita bread with veggies, hummus or tahini sauce.
