About this recipe

Chicken pakoras is prepared with boneless chicken chunks marinated in spices, dipped in a thin batter and fried till crispy.

Required ingredients

  • 500 grams chicken breast - cut into medium size fingers or small chunks
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Juice of a lime
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 cup gram flour or besan
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp red food color
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as required

Directions & How to

  • Mix all the ingredients for marination and marinate the chicken in it for at least half an hour to 1 hour.
  • Prepare a thin batter using all the ingredients given for making the batter.
  • Dip the chicken pieces in the batter and deep fry them in hot oil till done and crispy. *Do not over crowd the pan while frying, fry it a little at a time or in small batches for better results.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce and any cheesy dip.
