About this recipe
Tamatar Chaat is a famous chaat from Uttar Pradesh it is easy to make, spicy and tasty.
Required ingredients
- 4 ripe tomatoes, thickly sliced
- 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp chopped green chillies
- 1 tbsp. oil
- ½ cup imli ki mithi chutney,
- 4 tbsp. amchur ki khatti chutney
- Salt to taste
- Chaat masala, as required
- Chopped coriander leaves to garnish
Directions & How to
- Heat oil in a skillet; splutter cumin seeds and green chillies.
- Add sliced tomatoes, sauté on high heat for couple of minutes. Then lower the heat, cover and cook till tomatoes soften completely.
- Add mashed potatoes, salt and mix well.
- Add amchur chutney and 2 tbsp. of mithi chutney and sauté well for 4-5 minutes.
- Drizzle rest of mithi chutney, sprinkle chaat masala and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
