About this recipe
Capsicum filled with ground meat and cheese and then baked to enhance its flavors. Serve mince stuffed peppers as a main course, it will be savored by all.
Required ingredients
- 500 grams minced meat - you can use beef, lamb or mutton mince
- 6-8 small bell peppers or capsicum
- 1 large onion
- 1 large tomato
- 1 tbsp green chilli paste
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 3-4 flakes of garlic - finely chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp meat masala
- Juice of half a lime
- 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese or any processed cheese - grated
- Salt as per taste
- 3 tbsp oil
Directions & How to
- Preheat the oven to 220' C.
- Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan. Add chopped garlic and cumin seeds, fry till it splutters. Add chopped onions and fry till it browns.
- Add minced meat, stir well , break any lumps if formed. Add chopped tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, green chilli paste, salt and all spices and cook it covered on a slow flame for around 10 minutes.
- When it cools, check the seasoning once, mix into it lemon juice, coriander leaves and grated cheese.
- Wash the peppers and cut the top of each pepper. Remove the seeds and membrane to make hollows. Arrange peppers in a baking dish with the hollowed sides facing upward. (Slice the bottoms of the peppers if necessary so that they will stand upright.)
- Stuff the peppers with cooked mince. Grate generous amount of cheese over it and bake it in a preheated oven at 220'C for 10-15 minutes.
