About this recipe
Mix Dal Kachra is a dish which I learnt from my grandmother. Crispy and tasty goes well with green chutney.
Required ingredients
- 2 tbsp kabuli chana
- 2 tbsp kala chana
- 2 tbsp lobia
- 2 tbsp urad dal
- 2 tbsp masur dal
- 2 tbsp moong dal oil
- 1 tbsp garlic-green chilli paste
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil for deep frying
Directions & How to
- Soak all the dals, chanas and lobia together for 4-6 hours.
- Drain water of soaked dals and grind to a coarse paste in a food processor adding water only if required in very small quantities.
- Add in salt and garlic chilli paste, chopped ginger and coriander leaves.
- Heat the oil in a wok.
- Wet your palms take 1 heaped tsp dal paste on your left palm, flatten it; make a hole in between and then transfer to your right hand fingers and drop in oil. Add some more likewise and fry till golden and crisp.
- Serve with your choice of chutney easily
- You can fry them like pakoras if you wish.
