Muli ka achar is a tangy pickle, which is healty and can be served with paranthas, rice and main dishes. It enhances the overall taste of your meal.

Required ingredients

  • 500 g thickly sliced muli (radish)
  • 2 tbsp. mustard oil
  • 2 tsp. mustard seeds (ground to powder)
  • 1 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. nigella seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp. garlic paste.

Directions & How to

  • Put the sliced  radish in a resealable bag and microwave for 8-10 minutes.
  • Transfer the radish in a colander and keep it for about half an hour to drain out any liquid.
  • Place it in large glass bowl and add all the other ingredients
  • Cover the glass bowl tightly with a muslin cloth and keep in direct sunlight consecutively for 3 days. Mix in between 1-2 times per day.
  • Transfer it to a clean and dry glass jar and use within 15-20 days.
  • Serve with paranthas, rice dishes or main dishes.
