About this recipe
Ladyfinger Biscuits can be made anytime to be eaten as it is or it can be used in making many desserts like tiramisu.
Required ingredients
- 4 eggs, at room temperature
- ½ cup sugar powdered
- ¼ cup corn flour (corn starch)
- ¾ cup maida (refined flour)
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- 1/8 tsp cream of tartar (optional)
Directions & How to
- Separate the egg whites and yolks.
- Add 1 tbsp sugar and vanilla essence to the egg yolks and beat till frothy.
- Sift together flour and corn flour and keep aside.
- Beat egg whites till they are frothy; add rest of the sugar, cream of tartar and beat till they start to form stiff peaks.
- Add the yolks to egg whites and beat for a minute.
- Fold the flour in batches without deflating the batter. Transfer the batter in a piping bag with a round nozzle.
- Pipe 2.5”-3” sticks on a greased baking tray or lined with a parchment paper. Bake the ladyfinger biscuits in preheated oven at 200* C for 12-15 minutes. When completely done transfer to cooling rack.
- Serve with chocolate sauce or use in making tiramisu.
