Sabudana tikki…crisp fried tikkis served with spiced yogurt…a very different, interesting and yummy way to enjoy sabudana tikki..

Required ingredients

For the tikkis

  • 1 cup sago or sabu dana - soaked
  • 2 medium potatoes - boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion - finely chopped
  • 3-4 green chillies - chopped
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup crushed peanuts
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

For raita or spiced yogurt

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 green chilli - chopped
  • 1 garlic clove - finely chopped or minced
  • A pinch of black salt
  • Finely chopped mint and coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
 

Directions & How to

  • Combine all the ingredients for the tikkis in a mixing bowl. Mix well, shape into tikkis and shallow fry in hot oil till golden and crisp.
  • To prepare the spiced yogurt, mix well all the ingredients mentioned and keep aside.
  • Serve the hot tikkis with generous amount of spiced yogurt on top of it.
