Mutton pepper bites, boneless chunks of mutton fried and flavored in freshly ground pepper, served with fried potatoes. A mouth watering dish, enjoyed by all.

Required ingredients

  • ½ kilo mutton boneless- cut into bite sized chunks
  • ½ cup yoghurt – well beaten
  • 1tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp pepper powder – freshly ground
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 medium potatoes – cut into cubes same as the size of meat chunks.
  • Salt as per taste
  • 3 tbsp oil

For garnishing

  • Onion slices
  •  Chopped green chilies
  •  Chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Lemon wedges

Directions & How to

  • Mix yoghurt, ginger garlic paste and salt in the meat and cook it in the pressure cooker on medium flame till 3 whistles. Open the cooker after the pressure reduces. If there is any liquid remaining cook it again till the liquid dries up.
  • In a pan, heat 1 tbsp oil, add cumin seeds, when it  splutter add potatoes, sprinkle little salt and fry till done. Remove it and keep aside. * Take care not to over cook the potatoes.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in the same pan put the meat and sauté it well till 2-3 minutes. Add potatoes, mix pepper powder, coriander powder, chat masala and saute it for another 2-3 minutes.  Remove from flame.
  • Transfer it to the serving dish and garnish it with the sliced onions, green chilies, fresh coriander and lemon wedges.
