Kaddu ki Sabzi is a simple and easy, tastes great with poori or parantha and goes well both in brunch and lunch.

Required ingredients

  • 250 g pumpkin (kaddu)
  • 1 medium sized onion, finely sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 whole red chillies, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp. oil

Directions & How to

  • Remove the seeds and cut pumpkin in 1'' slices.
  • Heat oil in a wok, add cumin seeds and garlic sauté for a minute.
  • Add onions and fry till they are golden brown.
  • Add pumpkin, salt, red chillies and turmeric powder. Mix well, cover and cook on low heat till they are soft.
  • Add lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
