Imli ki Chutney is made with very common ingredients and a must accompaniment with various chaat and snacks.

 

Required ingredients

  • 250 g jaggery (gur) or sugar
  • ½ cup tamarind (imli) pulp
  • 1 tbsp. ginger powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • ¾ tsp black salt
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp. raisins

Directions & How to

 
  • Grate jaggery and put it to boil with half cup of water. Cook till all jaggery is dissolved and it becomes like thin syrup.
  • Add all the other ingredients and cook till it forms a sauce like thickness. Keep stirring in between.
  • Store in a clean jar for months in in the refrigerator.
