Easy to make and yummy to taste fish fritters or fish pakodas.

Required ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 500 grams fish fillets - cut into cubes
  • Oil for frying

For marination

  • 1/2 garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • Juice of a lime
  • Salt as per taste

For batter

  • 1/2 cup gram flour or besan
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp red food color
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as required

Directions & How to

  • Mix all the ingredients for marination and marinate the fillets in it for 1-2 hours.
  • Prepare a thin batter using all the ingredients given for making the batter.
  • Dip the fillets in the batter and deep fry them in hot oil till done and crispy. *Do not over crowd the pan while frying, fry it a little at a time or in small batches for better results.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
