Chana Rasedar, tastes great with steamed rice, an ideal healthy lunch.

Required ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled kaley chana
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  •  1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • ½ tsp dry mango powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ¾ cup water

For masala paste

  • 1 small onion
  • 1 medium sized tomato
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ turmeric powder
 

Directions & How to

  • Put all the ingredients of masala paste in a grinder and grind to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf and cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  • Add the ground paste and cook till oil separates.
  • Now add the chaney, stir well, add water, dry mango powder and let it cook on simmer for 10 -15 minutes covered.
  • Sprinkle garam masala and serve with rice.
